YOUNGWOOD, Pa. – Senior Bryn Allston posted her best time of the season as she led the Frostburg State women's cross country team to a first place finish at the Aaron Slafka Memorial Cross Country Invitational hosted by Pitt-Greensburg and Westmoreland County Community College, Saturday morning.
Full Meet ResultsAllston posted a time of 19:42.1 for a second-place finish as all of the Bobcats' top-five runners finished in the top-15.
As a team, Frostburg captured the win with 43 points, 17 points ahead of runner-up Theil (60 pts.).
Junior Gabby Maher finished second for the Bobcats and eighth overall in 20:13.2, while sophomore Casey Columbus was third for the squad and ninth, finishing just behind Maher at 20:13.7.
Freshman Faith Thackston and freshman Alexis DeVault rounded out the top-15 finishes. Thackston took 12
th in 20:32.5, while DeVault crossed in14th place at 20:41.7.
Sophomore Lexi Foreman captured 37
th (22:42.9) and freshman Danielle McClammy was 56
th in 25:50.1.
Frostburg State will take a week off and return to competition when the Bobcats travel to the Hood College Open on Saturday, Oct. 18.
