SALISBURY, Md. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team fell to Capital Athletic Conference foe, Salisbury, 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Frostburg kept the Sea Gulls off the board for 86:18 until Victoria Luc broke the scoreless tie with an unassisted goal at 86:19 to lift SU to the CAC victory. Junior Erin Worthman made a last second attempt to tie the contest and send it into extra time but her shot with five seconds remaining was blocked by a Salisbury defender to bring the score to its 1-0 final.
Salisbury outshot the Bobcats 20-7, including 10 in each half. Senior goalie Katie Smith made five saves in the first half to keep the Sea Gulls off the board while her SU counterpart needed two saves in the first half to secure the win.
With just over 10 minutes left in the first half, the Bobcats were awarded back-to-back corner kicks but could not find the back of the net. Frostburg State's only two shots on goal came early in the first and were both turned away by Michelle Conrad.
Worthman led the Bobcats with three shots while juniors Chelsie McCoy and Brooke Longo, sophomore Kelsi Folch and freshman Kaitlin McLain each recorded a shot.
The Bobcats look to snap a two-game skid as they host Mary Washington on Wednesday, October 8 at 6:00 pm.
