BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Frostburg State volleyball team fell short in both matches to Neumann and Bridgewater, 3-0 at the Bridgewater Quad Tournament, Saturday.

The Bobcats (2-12) dropped the first match of the second day of the Bridgewater Quad to Neumann (6-9). The Knights earned a 3-0 shutout victory behind set scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-9.
Senior Brianna Teets and sophomore Aimee Petrides paced the Bobcats with five kills apiece. Senior April Wolfe led the Bobcats defensively with seven digs.
In the second match of the day, FSU was defeated by host Bridgewater by set scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-16.
Junior Morgan Hoover contributed six kills as did Petrides while Hoover tacked on two blocks. Wolfe also led in the second match with eight digs and a service ace while freshman Kayla Porter donated seven digs.
The Bobcats return to action Tuesday, September 24
th for a 7:00 pm game at Carnegie Mellon.
