FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women’s tennis team had just one blemish on the score sheet en route to an 8-1 victory over York in the CAC Tournament First Round, Sunday.

The Bobcats evened their record at 8-8 overall behind 5-of-6 singles wins and a perfect 3-of-3 effort in doubles.

Five FSU players posted wins in both singles and doubles play. Senior Megan Martin, junior Amber Beckman and sophomore Megan Crowl earned wins at the top three singles and top two doubles flights. The freshmen duo of Kayla Kirk and Kaitlin Lemmert each earned wins in singles play and teamed for the third win at doubles.

FSU returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to top seeded Mary Washington for the CAC Tournament Semifinals.
