FREDERICK, Md. – The Frostburg State women’s tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over Hood College, Thursday afternoon.
The Bobcats (7-8) won five-of-six singles matches and earned two more wins in doubles play.
Junior Amber Beckman, along with the freshmen duo of Kayla Kirk and Kaitlin Lemmert posted two wins a piece. Beckman earned a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles and joined sophomore Nicole Absher for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
Kirk and Lemmert pushed their record to 7-4 at No. 3 doubles with a dominating 8-1 victory. Individually, Kirk and Lemmert posted a 6-0, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-1 wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
FSU returns to action on today with a home match against Hartford CC at 2:30 pm.
