FROSTBURG, Md. – With a 7-2 win over York on Sunday, the Frostburg State women’s tennis team has locked up the fourth seed in the upcoming 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Tournament.
Despite traveling to Frostburg for the CAC finale for both schools on Sunday, fifth-seeded York (4-12) will make a return trip to FSU and will face the Bobcats (5-8) this Saturday, April 21, in the first round. A time for the match has not been announced.
The other first round match will feature sixth-seeded Wesley (1-6) at third-seeded St. Mary’s (13-9).
The top seeds; #1 Mary Washington (15-4) and #2 Salisbury (17-2) earned first round byes. UMW will host the winner of YCP/FSU, while SU will host the winner of the Wesley/St. Mary’s match.
The tournament semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, while the championship match is slated for Saturday, April 27 at the highest remaining seed.
