FROSTBURG, Md. – With its win over York (Pa.) on Saturday, the Frostburg State men’s basketball team has earned the fifth seed in the upcoming 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Tournament that starts on Tuesday, February 19.

The fifth seeded Bobcats (10-15, 4-8 CAC) will travel to Fredericksburg, Va. to square off with fourth seeded Mary Washington (13-12, 6-6 CAC) at 7:00 pm. Two teams split the regular-season series as FSU captured a 78-72 win in the first meeting, while UMW grabbed a 65-60 victory in late January.

The other first round matchup will put sixth seeded York (Pa.) (7-18, 2-10 CAC) at third seeded Salisbury (18-7, 9-3 CAC) on Tuesday night at 8:00 pm. The Sea Gulls swept the regular-season meetings between the two with 61-58 and 63-60 wins.

Seventh ranked St. Mary’s (22-3, 10-2 CAC) earned the CAC’s top seed and will host the winner of FSU/UMW in the semifinals on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7:00 pm. Twenty fifth ranked Wesley (19-6, 9-3 CAC) is the tournament’s second seed and will host the winner of YCP/SU in the other semifinal matchup on Thursday at 7:00 pm.

The CAC Championship is set for Saturday, February 23 at the highest remaining seed and the winner will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
