FROSTBURG, Md. – After taking the first set and an early 1-0 lead, the Frostburg State volleyball team endured a 3-1 loss to Southern Virginia, Tuesday night.
The Bobcats (6-25) grabbed the early lead behind a narrow 26-24 win in game one. However, the Knights fought back for the match win behind 25-12, 25-16 and 25-20 wins in the final three games.
Sophomore Aimee Petrides led the team with 14 kills and 10 digs for her seventh double-double of the season. Senior Brianna Teets was second on the roster with seven kills, followed by classmate April Wolfe with six.
Sophomore Caitlyn Collins also registered a double-double with 19 assists and 10 digs, including two aces.
FSU volleyball returns to action this Saturday when it hosts a tri-match at Bobcat Arena starting with St. Mary's (Md.) at 12:00 pm.
