FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team strung together back-to-back goals in the second half to lift the Bobcats over Capital Athletic Conference opponent Mary Washington, 3-1, Saturday afternoon.

As the first half clock ticked down, it seemed as if both teams would head into halftime scoreless. At 41:30, junior forward
Stephanie Fazenbaker finally got the Bobcats (7-7-2, 3-2-2 CAC) on the board, 1-0. Fazenbaker posted her 11
th goal of the season, making her tied for second in the CAC.
After halftime, Mary Washington wasted little time and answered right back with a goal at 49:51 to knot the game.
Bobcat freshman Nicole Gernert knocked down her first goal of her collegiate career at a perfect time, giving FSU the game-winning goal in the 58
th minute of play.
Senior Adria Graham scored less than two minutes later to seal the deal. Graham connected with sophomore Erin Worthman at 60:22 to finalize the score at 3-1.
Junior keeper Katie Smith needed just four saves to collect the win in the net. Eagle goalie Sara Armor tallied five saves while suffering the loss.
Frostburg returns to action for its last regular season game at Marymount on Oct. 29 at 6:00 pm.
