FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team scored four goals by four different players to defeat Southern Virginia 4-0, Wednesday.

The Bobcats (6-7-1) were in control from the start of the match, but were unable to take advantage of several early scoring opportunities.
Sophomore Jessa DiTullo finally got FSU on the board at 33:44 when she collected a loose ball well outside the 18-yard box, and ripped a shot that found its way over the Southern Virginia keeper to give Frostburg a 1-0 lead.
Frostburg extended its lead in the 41
st minute when senior Courtney Mack scored a beautiful goal to make the score 2-0. Mack gathered the ball just outside the box and fired a shot that beat the keeper and made its way into the upper left corner of the goal.
The Bobcats went into the break with a 2-0 lead, and held a decisive advantage in shots at 15-2.
Frostburg had several more opportunities to increase their lead early in the second half before freshman Jessi Martz made the score 3-0 at 70:08 off an assist from senior Adria Graham.
The scoring for the Bobcats ended at 83:49 as sophomore Erin Worthman whipped in a corner that Martz headed to sophomore Jen Tyrell who found the back of the net to make the score 4-0.
Frostburg finished the game with an advantage in shots 28-2 over Southern Virginia, and an 8-0 edge in corners.
Knight's goalkeeper Makenzie Cox made seven saves in the losing effort.
The Bobcats return to action this Saturday when they host Salisbury at 1:00 pm at Bobcat Stadium.
