SALISBURY, Md. – The Frostburg State field hockey team suffered a 6-0 defeat to seventh-ranked Salisbury, Sunday, in CAC field hockey action.

The host Sea Gulls (9-2, 2-0) scored three goals in each half for their third-consecutive win.
Meanwhile, FSU (5-10, 0-3) hung tough against nationally ranked SU, facing 14 shots over the first 26 minutes of action. Sophomore keeper Megan Grimm made five saves during that span and freshman Alisha Salomon added a defensive save to help keep the hosts off the board.
At 28:39, Yumi Kim scored the game's first goal on a penalty stroke. Less than two minutes later, Kim added her second goal and later found Karen Cindea for the third goal of the opening half for Salisbury.
Kim tacked on her third score in the 46th minute for a 4-0 advantage. SU capped the afternoon with two more goals for the win.
Salisbury held a decisive 35-5 edge in shots and a 23-3 lead in penalty corners.
Grimm posted 11 saves in the loss, while Salomon finished with two defensive saves. Freshman Eleanor Vials led the Bobcats with two shots on goal.
Frostburg returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts York (Pa.) at 5:00 pm.
