WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Frostburg State University women’s soccer team scored three second-half goals en route to a commanding 4-1 win over host Washington & Jefferson, Tuesday. FSU entered the contest ranked eighth in the South Atlantic region according to the latest NSCAA poll.

The win pushes the Bobcats to 2-0 overall on the young season and marks the fourth-straight year that FSU has won their first two games. The victory also marks the first time in school history that the women’s soccer team has scored four goals in each of their first two games.
Junior forward Adria Graham followed up her hat trick on Saturday with two more goals. She put the Bobcats on the board in the 23rd minute after finding the net off a pass from sophomore Stephanie Fazenbaker.
Graham’s score was the lone tally of the first half and the Bobcats held a slim 4-3 edge in shots.
Senior Liz Seligman put the visitors up 2-0 with just over five minutes gone in the second half with her first score of the year.
Five and a half minutes later, Graham sealed the win with her second goal of the game and fifth of the season. Junior Courtney Mack dribbled the ball into the 18-yard box and passed it to freshman Chelsie McCoy who fed it directly to Graham for the goal (56:46).
Washington & Jefferson trimmed the deficit to 3-1 in the 59th minute with its only goal.
With less than seven minutes to play in regulation, junior Kyrsten Buck knocked a corner kick directly to a waiting Mack who headed home the game’s final goal.
The Bobcats exploded in the second half for a 10-3 lead in shots. FSU also turned up the pressure on the offensive end by drawing four offside calls in the second period.
Sophomore Katie Smith needed just two saves to earn her second victory of the season.
The Bobcats are back in action this Saturday when they face former conference rival Penn State Behrend in Pittsburgh, Pa. at 2:00 pm.
