WASHINGTON, D.C. – Junior Adria Graham notched an impressive hat trick in the season opener to lead the Frostburg women's soccer team past Catholic 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats dominated on offense with 22 shots and 14 shots on goal. Frostburg went to work early when Graham tracked down a breakaway ball to sneak past the Cardinal goalkeeper Lexi Halperin in the first 12 minutes of play.
At 23:28 Graham was searching for her second goal but Haperin made a save and teammate senior Dorie Gedridge got control of the rebound for her first goal of the season. Frostburg went up 3-0 in the second half after a perfect lead pass from sophomore Stephanie Fazenbaker to Graham after her shot was first deflected off the goalkeeper.
Graham finalized the score at 71:28 with her third goal of the afternoon after another rebounded save from the keeper. The Bobcats were able to play all 20 players in today's win over Catholic.
FSU defense kept Catholic scoreless while holding them to a mere seven shots on goal. Sophomore goalie Katie Smith racked up 7 saves in her first shut out win of the season.
Frostburg travels to Washington and Jefferson on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 7:00 pm.
