FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State softball team has to wait a week, but it will have its second opportunity in as many years to win the Capital Athletic Conference tournament title when it faces top-seeded Salisbury on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
The game, originally scheduled for Sunday, was postponed due to weather concerns in Salisbury. The Bobcats, 3-1 in the CAC tournament, will have to defeat the Sea Gulls twice in the double-elimination format. The Bobcats fell to Salisbury last season in the finals.
Because of the postponement, Frostburg has canceled its doubleheader at Penn State Altoona on Wednesday. The team will still play its scheduled non-conference doubleheader at Catholic on Sunday.
