The Bobcats (12-12, 4-2) scored their lone run of game one in the bottom of the second off of Sea Gull starter Erika Brittingham. Junior catcher Megan Butzner singled to lead off the inning, and she came around on senior Jordan Wright's two-out double over the center fielder's head to tie the score at one.

The ket at-bat of the game came in the top of the third with Brittingham at the plate. With two on, two out and a 2-2 count, she singled in both runners to stake Salisbury to a 3-1 lead. That hit was the first of seven consecutive Sea Gulls to reach base on six singles and a walk. All told, Salisbury plated seven runs in the inning to take an 8-1 lead.

Junior Taylor Vandegrift went 3-for-3 out of the leadoff spot.

The Bobcats turned to Wright in game two as she looked to improve upon her 8-1 record in 2012. Salisbury countered with an 11-run, 16-hit performance to complete the sweep. The Sea Gulls scored runs in all six innings, including four in the top of the fourth to double their lead to 8-0. Frostburg chipped into that advantage in its half of the inning as sophomore Caitlin Lovend doubled home Vandegrift and scored on a wild pitch later in the inning.

Vandegrift again led the Bobcats with two hits.

Frostburg steps out of conference play on Thursday when it travels to Dickinson for a 5:00 p.m. twinbill.
