STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - Twelve different players scored and Frostburg State used 45 points from its bench to defeat Franciscan 79-63 in AMCC men's basketball action, on a snowy Monday evening.

The Bobcats (13-8, 10-7) led for almost the entire contest, allowing the Barons (6-17, 5-14) to tie it just once at 18 with 10:45 to play in the opening half. FSU halted any Franciscan momentum, using a quick 9-0 spurt for a 27-18 lead just 1:17 later. Frostburg State pushed its lead to 16 points (42-26) at halftime behind a dunk with eight seconds left from junior

The Bobcats extended their lead to 21 points (52-31) just prior to five minutes into the second half. FSU kept its lead in the 20s until 6:14 when a pair of Baron free throws brought the score to 66-47. Franciscan made a late charge, bringing the FSU lead to just 11 points (72-61) with 2:13 showing on the clock, but Frostburg State hit a 3-pointer to quickly answer and the Bobcat defense limited the Barons to just two points over the final two minutes of play.
Frostburg State shot 45.5 percent (30-of-66) from the field, held a 45-8 lead in points from the bench and limited Franciscan to just 32.9 percent shooting (24-of-73) from the floor.
Junior
Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) led FSU with 13 points while classmate Busha Koffa (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) added 12. Bracken came off the bench to score 11 points and junior Ellis Hartidge (Washington, D.C./Anacostia) led the Bobcats with 10 rebounds.
Josh Ducoulombier led all players with 16 points followed by Connor Flanagan and Matt Leidel with 15 each. Leidel also grabbed a game-high 11 boards.
Frostburg State returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Pitt-Greensburg at 8:00 pm.
