YORK, Pa. – The Frostburg State University men’s basketball team suffered its third-straight defeat with a 96-62 loss to York (Pa.) in CAC action, Saturday afternoon.

Maurice Williams (Columbus, Ohio/Pickerington Central) led the Bobcats (5-4, 1-3) with 13 points while seniors
Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) and
Steven Ogg (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) scored 10 each.
York shot 56 percent from the field (32-of-57) and opened a 22-5 lead 10 minutes into the first half and never looked back. The Spartans (6-3, 3-1) extended their first-half lead to 20 points, 39-19, with 3:31 left and led by 17 (45-28) at halftime.
The hosts kept their foot on the gas in the second half as they pushed their lead to 21 points (49-28) less than three minutes into action. Just past the 10-minute mark, YCP pushed its lead above 30 points and twice led by 39 before the final horn.
York outrebounded the Bobcats (35-32) and forced 17 FSU turnovers. The Spartans were very balanced offensively as five different players scored in double figures. Julian Watson scored a game-high 15 points. Mo Oursler scored 14 and Mitch Kemp added 11 as the Spartans rebounded from an overtime loss to No. 14 St. Mary’s on earlier this week.
FSU returns to the court on Friday, December 17 when it travels to Bethany (W.Va.) for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
