FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State University volleyball team finished its Capital Athletic Conference schedule with a 3-0 shutout of Wesley, Tuesday on senior night. The Bobcats, who have won nine-straight matches, improve to 28-3 and finish a perfect 8-0 in the league.
FSU, ranked third in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region, picked up 25-11, 25-11 and 25-18 wins over the Wolverines (5-29, 1-7). The Bobcats earned their 21st shutout of the season the sixth highest total in school history.
The Bobcats used mid-game scoring runs to earn all three victories. The Bobcats collected a 6-0 run in the middle part of the first game for a 14-2 lead. In the second game, FSU used a 7-0 run for a 15-6 edge. The Bobcats later collected another 6-0 run in the thrid set for a 12-2 lead.

Jamie Thomas (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) smacked seven kills, six digs, three assists and one ace while senior
Brittany McVearry (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) turned in four digs and one ace.

Kylie Carrington (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) handed out 35 assists, smacked six kills and had three digs. Junior
Amber Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) recorded a team-high 10 digs to go along with eight kills and one block while sister
Sabrina Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) had eight kills.

The Bobcats cap their regular season with a tri-match at Elizabethtown College this weekend starting at 3:00 pm.
