GIBSONIA, Pa.- Frostburg State senior
Thirza Roberto (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women's Swimmer of the Week honor for the week of January 25th.
Against Marymount and Gallaudet, Roberto captured two individual first-place finishes, one in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.01) and the other in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.26). She was also a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay that touched the wall with a time of 1:51.95.
Roberto also posted the only Frostburg State win against York on Saturday. She placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.34) and finished in third-place in both the 50-yard freestyle (27.63) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.17).
FSU is back in action at home against AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford on January 30th for a 1:00 pm contest.
