Jack Hudson (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) and freshman
Sam Mulvey (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) swept the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for the week of January 18 announced Monday.
Both the men's and women's squads picked up victories against Hood College. The men defeated the Blazers 108-67 while the women slipped past HC by a score of 79-69.
Hudson and Mulvey each posted two individual wins on the day for the Bobcats. Hudson touched the wall in first-place in both the 800-meter freestyle (10:17.87) and the 400-meter freestyle (4:56.03) events. He also was a member of the winning 200-meter medley relay that finished with a time of 2:06.32.
Mulvey captured her first-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle (30.99) and 100-meter freestyle (1:11.74). She also joined three other teammates in the 200-meter freestyle relay to finish in first-place (2:04.13) and secure the win for the Bobcat women.
FSU is back in the pool when it travels to Bethany on January 20 for a 6:00 pm contest.
