Grand Lake, Co.- The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association has named 407 student-athletes to the academic squad for 2009 including two from Frostburg State.
This honor is given to student-athletes that have been nominated by their institution and attained at least junior standing academically. All honorees had a GPA of at least 3.5 or were in the top ten percent of their squad.

Meredith Martin (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson) and senior
Lindsey Chaffman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) were among the honorees for this year.
Martin was a two year starter for the Bobcats and in her final season she netted 17 goals and added five assists. As a junior, Chaffman started for the team, scored eight goals and was third on the team in both draw controls (24) and assists (6). Chaffman was also apart of the USA women's lacrosse team that traveled to Ireland and England this summer to compete.
The Bobcats finished the 2009 season with a 7-9 overall record.
