PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Frostburg State women's tennis team defeated Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent La Roche, 9-0 on Saturday, September 19, giving the team a three-game winning streak and a perfect record against AMCC opponents.
FSU has an overall record of 7-2 and is a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

Caroline Shedd (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) all picked up two wins on the day to lead Frostburg State to a perfect match.
In the number one doubles match, Dannenfelser and Martin defeated Christina Shields and Chiara Irakoze, 8-0. In the number two match, Shedd and Stafford won 8-2 over Nikki Flaherty and Cari David. To round out the doubles match wins, senior
Monie Cuddahee (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) and sophomore
Ashley Kuhns (Latrobe, Pa./Derry Area) defeated Chia Fang Wu and Yana Kancheva 8-2.
In the number one singles match, freshmen Dannenfelser defeated Irakoze with scores of 6-0 and 6-0 while in the No. 2 singles match Stafford won against Shields (1-6, 6-3, 6-3). Shedd picked up her second win of the afternoon in the No. 3 singles match defeating Flaherty 7-5 and 6-2.
In the fourth singles match, Martin defeated Kancheva 6-0 and 6-0 for her second win. Senior
Liz Coblentz (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) defeated Wu 6-2 and 6-0 in the No. 5 singles match. In the No. 6 singles match sophomore #Jannil# Sites (Waynesboro, Pa./James Buchanan) picked up a win over Lynka Ineza (6-3, 6-2) to finish the day for the Bobcats.
