Six Women's Lacrosse Players Headed to Ireland and England

FROSTBURG, Md. - Juniors Davia Procida (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake), Lindsey Chaffman (Manchester, Md./North Carroll), Kelly Meinecke (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport), Marissa Henderson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast), Elisabeth Hildebrand (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) and Katie Dannemann (Herndon, Va./Paul VI) will represent Frostburg State University this summer as they were invited to travel to Ireland and England to play on the USA women's lacrosse team as a part of the American International Sports Tours.

The tour lasts 11 days and will take place in early July with stops in Dublin, Manchester and London.

AIST was organized in 2002 and has now expanded its competitions to include more than 22 countries around the world.

Henderson was nationally ranked throughout the season in both caused turnovers and groundballs for the Bobcats. She appeared in 15 games and collected 62 ground balls and forced 44 caused turnovers, leading Frostburg State in both categories. 

Hildebrand led the Bobcats in goals (42) and points (47) while appearing in 16 games. Hildebrand also recorded four goals or more in five games, including a season high of six goals against Washington & Jefferson.

Procida appeared in 16 games for the Bobcats and was third on the team in ground balls with 55 while Chaffman also participated in 16 games and was third on the team in both draw controls (24) and assists (6).

Dannemann played in 16 games netting six goals and handing out four assists while Meinecke collected 35 ground balls and 19 draw controls in 16 games.
