ALTOONA, Pa. - The Frostburg State men's tennis team fell to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend, 8-1, and defeated Pitt-Bradford, 7-2 at the ProCare Health and Fitness Center, Saturday.

Senior Jeff Lesky (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira) picked up the only win for FSU (4-6, 2-3) against Penn State Behrend when he defeated Jon Henderson (5-7, 1-1, retired).

Against Pitt-Bradford, senior Greg Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) and freshman Mike Stevenson (Bowie, Md./Bowie) each picked up two wins.

In the number one doubles match, Shedd and Stevenson defeated Roberto Pombosa and Doug Atteberry (8-2) while freshman Ryan Miller (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Mike Hurst picked up the No. 3 doubles victory against Bryan Ocampo and Mickey Sheahan (6-2, 6-3).

Stevenson won against Pombosa in the number one singles competition (6-0, 6-3) and Shedd defeated Mike Tenesi in the second singles match (6-0, 6-0).

Lesky picked up the win in the fourth singles competition against Josh Kinney with scores of 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Steve French (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) won against Matt Lee in the No. 5 singles match with scores of 6-2, 6-2. Sophomore Phillip Darden (Washington, D.C./Thomas Stone) defeated Sheahan in the number six singles competition (6-2, 6-3).
