FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State senior tandem of Sumer Rohrs (Frostburg, Md./Forest) and Brian Leiter (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) are headed back to the NCAA Division III National Championships, this coming weekend.

The 25th annual NCAA championships will be held at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. A total of 466 student-athletes from 134 colleges and universities located in 27 states will compete for national championship honors this weekend in Terre Haute, Ind.

Rohrs, who is making her fourth trip to the indoor national championships as a Bobcat, will be defending her 2007 & 2008 national championships as she will be competing in the 55-meter hurdle preliminaries on Friday, March 13 at 4:35 pm. The finals are set for Saturday, March 14 at 2:25 pm.

Rohrs is searching for her third-straight national title and fourth All-American award in the 55 hurdles. She is fresh off her fourth-straight ECAC Championship in that event after winning the race with a season best time of 8.04 last Saturday. Rohrs captured wins in the 55-meter hurdles this season at both the Orange & Maroon Classic at Susquehanna University and the Mason-Dixon Conference Championships two weeks ago.

Leiter is looking for his first indoor All-American award in the one-mile run after capturing those honors in the 800-meter run during last year's outdoor national championships. Leiter will run in the preliminaries of the one-mile run on Friday, March 13 at 4:20 pm while the finals are set for Saturday, March 14 at 2:10 pm.

Leiter is also coming off an ECAC Championship last weekend after finishing first in the 800-meter run with a season best time of 1:53.44.
