NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Frostburg State University sophomore linebacker
Travis Blair (Upper Marlboro, Md./Oxon Hill) was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week after his standout performance last Saturday in FSU's 52-7 loss to No. 11 ranked UNC Pembroke.
Blair made a game-high 12 total tackles in the loss. He also made 1.5 tackles for a loss of nine yards, one sack for seven yards and a pass breakup.
Blair has now reached double-digit tackles in each of the last three games and paces the ACFC in both tackles per game (10.1) and solo tackles (45).
Frostburg State freshman cornerback
Richard Twyman (Bear, Del./Delcastle Tech) was selected to the ACFC honor roll after making five tackles, a pass breakup and an interception Saturday.
Frostburg State (0-8) returns to action when it travels to Newport News, Va. this Saturday to take on ACFC opponent Apprentice at 1:00 pm..
