WINCHESTER, Va. - Junior Terrance Taylor (Oxon Hill, Md./Cornerstone Christian) came off the bench to pour in a team-high 25 points and power the Frostburg State men's basketball team to a 75-73 overtime victory against Shenandoah in the season opener for both teams, Monday evening.

Its the second-consecutive season that the Bobcats (1-0) have defeated the Hornets (0-1) in their season opener.
SU's Kevin Kline, who led all players with 28 points, hit a jumper with seven seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 67-67 and send it into OT. However, FSU led throughout the extra frame, including a five-point lead (75-70) with 1:36 to play. Taylor scored six points in OT and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Taylor and sophomore Jamal Bracken (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) helped spark a Bobcat bench that held a 51-25 scoring edge. Bracken scored 12 points while junior Steven Ogg (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) and sophomore Mac Minturn (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) each added seven off the bench for the visitors. Taylor led all FSU players with 11 rebounds.
Shenandoah led for much of the opening period of play and captured a handful of nine-point leads around the mid-way point of the half. FSU battled back to tie the contest a 29-29 and junior Busha Koffa (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) hit a pair of free throws at 3:33 for the visitors for their first lead of the game at 31-29. The Bobcats extended the lead to six over the closing minutes and led 38-34 at halftime.
The second half was a tighter ballgame as the lead changed hands six times. Ogg hit a layup 14 seconds into the second to give FSU a six-point advantage, 40-34, but neither team would lead by more than five points the rest of the half.
After SU rebounded to take the lead, 45-44 (15:54) and 52-51 (12:15), the Bobcats hit back-to-back jumpers for a four-point edge (57-53) with 9:16 remaining.
The Hornets tied the game two more times over the next five minutes, but the Bobcats surged ahead by three (67-64) on a Taylor free throw at 67-64. However, SU's Kline made a foul shot at 2:08 and hit the game tying jumper with seven seconds left to send the game into overtime.
Kline led the Hornets in scoring with 28 points while Mitchell Dudley added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
