GREENSBURG, Pa. - Freshman
Amanda Wharton (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) recorded her second collegiate hat trick as the Frostburg State women's soccer team defeated Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg, 9-0, and pushed its winning streak to five, Tuesday afternoon.

Lauren Lentine (Princeton, N.J./WWP North) less than eight minutes later to give FSU a five-point advantage over UPG, 5-0.
Less than 40 second later, Lentine fed another assist to senior
Christine Fitzgerald (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) who scored and increased the UPG deficit six points, 6-0.

Kaleigh Herring (Perry Hall, Md./North Harford) netted back to back goals, one at the 41:46 mark off an assist from classmate
Kelly Sanzone (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) and the other less than two minutes later, to enlarge the FSU lead to eight points going into the break, 8-0.
Only 50 seconds into the second half, Lentine scored her second goal of the season after junior
Shonna Ferree (Frostburg, Md./Beall) fed her an assist to give the end score 9-0.
FSU senior goalkeeper
Stephanie Gwinn (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) earned the win and the shutout with zero saves in 34 minutes of play while UPG goalie Michelle Love had ten saves in the loss. Also in goal for Frostburg State were sophomores
Michelle Buckmaster (St. Leonard, Md./Calvert) and
Kristin Prochniak (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and freshman
Jessica Flewellyn (Arnold, Md./Broadneck). Prochniak stopped two shots and Flewellyn recorded one save to help hold Pitt-Greensburg scoreless.
Frostburg State led Pitt-Greensburg in both shots (38-6) and corner kicks (8-0).
FSU will look to continue its winning streak as it takes on AMCC opponent Hilbert at home on October 10 at 5:30 pm.
