CARLISE, Pa. - The Frostburg State volleyball team pushed its winning streak to three matches with a 3-0 shutout victory of Marymount, Friday evening on the campus of Dickinson College.
FSU is now 14-2 on the season with its 10 shutout victory of the season after getting past the Saints 25-8, 25-14 and 25-16.
Junior
Brooke Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) continued her stellar play this year pacing all players with 14 kills, her 13th double digit kill effort this fall. She also tossed in nine digs and four aces.
Freshman
Kylie Carrington (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) had 28 assists and has now recorded 20 or more assists in every match this season.
Sophomore
Jamie Thomas (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) and freshmen
Sabrina Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) and
Margie Maresca (Prince Frederick, Md./Huntingtown) also aided in the Bobcat offensive output. Thomas had eight kills and 11 digs while Winterling had seven kills followed by Maresca with four.
Sophomore
Rachel Burke (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) had six digs while classmate
Bekah Litz (Edgewater, Md./South River) turned in three digs, three assists and one ace.
The Bobcats return to action when they face Dickinson at 10:00 am.
