FROSTBURG, Md. - Frostburg State hit a pair of homeruns in game one and freshman
Kelly Callan (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) tossed her first career no hitter as FSU swept up a pair of wins from Pitt-Greensburg, Thursday afternoon on a sun drenched Bobcat Field. The hosts earned an 8-4 victory in the opener and FSU needed only 5.0 innings for an 11-1 game two win.

FSU (13-14, 6-5) smacked three more homeruns in twinbill, extending the school record to 15, after surpassing the previous mark of 11 on Tuesday at Mt. Aloysius.
In the opener, Pitt-Greensburg (7-11, 7-9) led 2-0 after scoring a single run in each of the first two innings. Senior
Amanda Baldwin (Baltimore, Md./North County) got the offense going with a leadoff double in the bottom of the second. Freshman
Brooke Tapman (Pocomoke, Md./Pocomoke) then belted a pitch over the left field fence to even the score at 2-2.
After UPG scored in the top of the third, sophomore
Lindsay Freitag (Baltimore, Md./Parkville) evened the score again for the hosts with a solo homerun to left in the bottom of the inning.
Frostburg State took a 6-3 lead in the fourth when Freitag and sophomore
Katelyn Coffey (Middletown, Md./Middletown) each had run scoring singles. Coffey ended the scoring in the fourth when she scored on an error by the Pitt-Greensburg infield.
Tapman scored on an error in the fifth and Baldwin doubled down the left field line in the sixth, scoring Freitag, as FSU pushed its lead to 8-3. UPG's Haley Gearhart had an RBI single in the seventh as the visitors narrowed the final gap to 8-4.
After allowing six hits and three runs over the first three innings, Coffey settled down to hold Pitt-Greensburg to one run and four hits over the four innings to earn her ninth win of the spring. She is 9-5 overall and 4-2 in the AMCC after striking out six in 7.0 innings.
Freitag finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored including her third homerun of the season. Tapman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored with her fourth homer of the spring.
In the second game, Callan earned her fourth win of the season after tossing her first collegiate no hitter. She walked two batters and let loose a wild pitch in the fourth that allowed Pitt-Greensburg to score its only run.
Pitching was a problem for UPG in the nightcap as three different pitchers combined to walk nine batters, uncork four wid pitches and allow 11 runs, four earned.
In the first, sophomore
Samantha Quirin (Lovettsville, Va./Loudoun Valley) hit a two-run homerun and senior Megan Dabkowski (Eastnorthport, N.Y./Commack) doubled home a run in the third as FSU led 3-0.
FSU's biggest inning came in the third when the team plated five runs. Frostburg State needed just two hits and one error to score five as four walks and a wild pitch help keep the inning alive.
With FSU up 8-0, UPG cut the deficit to 8-1 with its only run in the fourth. Frostburg State tacked on three in the fourth to end the scoring. Junior
Kaitlyn Wagner (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) singled home a run and Dabkowski and senior
Lindsay Seal (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) each drew bases loaded walks to account for all three runs.
Seal finished a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Wagner was 1-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored.
Frostburg State hosts Medaille in an AMCC doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
