FROSTBURG, Md. - Freshman
Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) scored a career-high 25 points including 6-of-8 from three point range to guide Frostburg State past Lake Erie 96-87 in the regular season finale for both teams, Saturday.

The Bobcats (9-16, 8-10) finish 8-2 at home on the season including five-straight wins at Bobcat Arena. FSU shot 50.0 percent (9-of-18) from beyond the arc in the game and never allowed LEC (17-8, 13-5) to get closer than five points the entire second half.
The game was also senior day as the three Frostburg State seniors combined to score 45 points.
Brian Green (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) was second on the Bobcat squad with 18 points and a team-high four assists while
Dale DeBerry (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) chipped in 16 points and
Jade Belt (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) turned in a double-double 11 points and 10 boards.
Anderson, who scored 13 of his points in the first half, finished the ballgame 8-of-11 from the field despite leaving the game twice with injuries.
Frostburg State shot 49.3 percent (35-of-71) from the field and 68.0 percent (17-of-25) from the free throw line.
Derrick Thornton scored 20 points for Lake Erie behind a perfect 10-of-10 effort from the foul line. Darnell Campbell added 16 points while Antonio Kidd and Matt Moore had 13 and 11 points, respectively. Lake Erie received 39 points from its bench and scored 44 points in the paint.
The Storm led through the first six minutes of action including a seven-point cushion at 17:41 but the Bobcats would rebound and take the lead for good at 13:35 (17-16). Anderson would later hit his second three-pointer of the afternoon to give FSU its largest lead of the opening half (46-35) with 4:37 left.
Frostburg State led throughout the second half and by the final buzzer the hosts had pushed their lead to a game-high 12 points (96-84).
