FROSTBURG, Md. – Katelyn Manochech netted the game's only goal as the Stevenson University field hockey team defeated Frostburg State, 1-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Frostburg State (14-5) led the Mustangs (9-9) in shots 19-3 and penalty corners 11-4, but the game remained scoreless until the 34th minute when Manocheh scored her goal off an assist from Cat Connelly, providing SU a one point advantage.
Despite nine shots in the second half including six on goal FSU was unable to find the net while being handed its second-straight loss.

Michelle Frost (Jessup, Md./Hammond) led the team in shots with ten while sophomore
Breanne Russell (Clements, Md./Chopticon) had four.
Mustang goalkeeper Kara Zimmerman had 12 saves in the win and sophomore goalie
Samantha Foland (Myersville, Md./Middletown) had one save in the loss.
The Bobcats are back in action at the Wilson Independent Tournament on November 1 at 11:00 am.
