ERIE, Pa. - The Frostburg State volleyball team was defeated by Allegheny Mountian Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend with game scores of 14-25, 25-23, 23-25 and 17-25, on Saturday afternoon.
Frostburg State has an overall record of 23-5 and a conference record of 4-1.
Sophomore
Sarah Stephens (Oakland, Md. /Southern Garrett) led the squad with 19 kills followed by junior
Brooke Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) with 15. Stephens had 17 digs and Winterling chipped in 26 digs, two blocks and a service ace.
Sophomore
Rachel Burke (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) set a new FSU record posting 44 digs. This ranks her first in the single-match digs record category.
Sophomore
Jamie Thomas (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) recorded 37 digs, landing her third on the single-match digs record list.
Freshman
Kylie Carrington (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) handed out 36 assists and chipped in two blocks. Sophomore
Chelsea Wassell (Westernport, Md./Southern Garrett) led the squad in blocks posting five.
The Bobcats return to action against AMCC opponent Pitt-Greensburg in Bobcat Arena on October 21 at 7:00 pm.
