FAIRMONT, W.Va.. - Frostburg State senior
Shannon Dunnigan (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) captured two first places for the women's swim team against Fairmont State on Friday.
The team scores for the women were Fairmont State University 91 and the Bobcats 62. For the men, the falcons had 101 points while FSU had 59.
Dunnigan took first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:00.52. In the 17th event, the 500-yard freestyle, she captured her second first place finish with a time of 5:54.17.
Joining Dunnigan with wins for the women team was sophomore
Thirza Roberto (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake). Roberto placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.97.
Freshman
Jack Hudson (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) led the Frostburg State men's team with a win in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.87). Hudson was also a part of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:50.81). He was joined by classmates
Charles Swartz (Greenbelt, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt),
Sean Samakow (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) and
Zach Koval (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) for the win.
