Naylor Scores Pair, Women's Soccer Takes Out Pitt-Greensburg 3-0

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Frostburg State shutout Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg 3-0 Wednesday, behind two goals from senior Jen Naylor (Riva, Md./St. Mary's).

FSU (9-2-1, 3-0) has now won back-to-back games and nine out of its last ten. Frostburg State is currently ranked eighth in the Great Lakes Region according to NSCAA/adidas Regional Rankings.

FSU has yet to allow a goal in AMCC action while outscoring opponents 11-0.

Freshman Heather Fleishell (Middletown, Md./Middletown) put Frostburg State on the board just 6:15 into the game. Sophomore Katie Emminger (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) crossed a ball that Fleishell tipped in toward the far post.

Naylor netted both her goals in the second half to seal the win for the visitors. She scored her first goal of the contest just 1:37 into the second period off a double assist from freshmen Stephanie Parker (Dundalk, Md./Catholic) and Lauren Russell (Waldorf, Md./Westlake). Naylor netted a penalty kick in the 61st minute to cap the scoring.

Frostburg State outshot Pitt-Greensburg 20-2 and Stephanie Gwinn (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) picked up the win in net for FSU. Backup goalie Amanda LaPorta (Westminster, Md./Westminster) played the rest of the game making one save and preserving the shutout.

The red and black return to action on Saturday, October 6 when they host Hilbert at 1:00 pm.
