PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Frostburg State volleyball team suffered its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss of the season Saturday at the hands of Lake Erie College, 3-1.
The Storm (9-19, 4-3) controlled the match with wins by scores of 30-20, 30-20, and 30-27 to take FSU out of the top spot in the AMCC. The Bobcats (17-10, 6-1) only win came in a hard fought third set by a score of 30-25.
The loss gives Lake Erie their first ever victory over Frostburg State. Coming into the match the Bobcats were 15-0 all-time only losing one set ever in the series. The loss also snapped FSU's four-game winning streak.

Jamie Thomas (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) added to her team lead in service aces with four on the day.

Jenny Wheaton (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) added 37 assists with 10 digs.

Sarah Stephens (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) contributed with seven kills and two service aces.
FSU is back in action against AMCC leader Penn State Altoona at home on Wednesday, October 24th at 7:00 pm.
