GREENSBURG, Pa. - Junior
Gregg Laskow (Plainsboro, N.J./WWP-North) scored the first two goals for Frostburg State as it shutout Pitt-Greensburg, 4-0, Tuesday afternoon.
FSU evened its record at 5-5-1 while earning its first win in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action (1-1-1).
Laskow has scored in three of the last four games and leads the team with nine goals while classmate
Adam Gracia (Rockville, Md./Thomas Wootton) added two more assists and leads FSU with seven.
Laskow's first goal proved to be the game winner in the 17th minute. He followed the first up with his second goal of the game a little less than four minutes later when he scored off a pass from Gracia.
In the second half, freshman
Mike Pistorio (Bel Air, Md./Harford Technical) made the score 3-0 at 56:49 and senior
Alex Wilkinson (La Vale, Md./Bishop Walsh) brought the scoring to a close with a goal at 58:08. Gracia was credited with the assist on the final goal.
The FSU defense limited UPG to just three shots while attempting 18 of its own.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday, October 6 when it hosts Hilbert at 3:00 pm.
