Men's Soccer Blows Out Mt. Aloysius; 16-0

FROSTBURG, Md. - Junior Gregg Laskow (Plainsboro, N.J./WWP-North) scored four goals and added two assists while senior Kenny Dotter (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) netted three goals and one assist as the Frostburg State men's soccer team blew out Mt. Aloysius, 16-0, Wednesday night.

Laskow nows leads FSU (7-7-1, 3-3-1) with 13 goals after setting a career-high in scores. Laskow scored three out of the Bobcats first four goals of the game as FSU tallied six goals in the first half and 10 in the second.

Junior Adam Gracia (Rockville, Md./Thomas Wootton) scored a pair of goals and is now second on the Bobcats with seven and Dotter is now third on the team with four goals. Gracia also leads Frostburg State with eight assists.

Freshman Mike Bowers (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) scored the game's third goal and classmate Nick Bauer (Leonardtown, Md./Chopticon) scored the fifth as Frostburg State held a 5-0 lead. Gracia netted his first goal of the game in the 31st minute to end the first half scoring.

The Bobcats added three goals in the opening five minutes of the second half. Dotter netted back-to-back shots and Gracia scored his second as FSU led 9-0.

FSU continued the pressure from that point on as Dotter (53:24) and Laskow (57:45) each scored again while freshman Danny Hutchins (Baltimore, Md./Parkville) scored his only goal of the game in the 63rd minute as FSU assumed a 12-0 advantage.

Bauer tallied his second goal of the contest in the 73rd minute and sophomore Sean Jones (Pasadena, Md./Severna Park) scored on a penalty kick at 77:36 followed by goals from sophomore Steven Jacobsen (Waldorf, Md./West Lake) and Patrick Ferraris (Springfield, Va./Paul VI Catholic) late in the game to end the scoring.

FSU keepers Jay Herford (Crofton, Md./South River) and Dante Dozier (Greenbelt, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) split time in net for the Bobcats while Herford made three saves.

The Bobcats return to action Sunday, October 17 at home against Pitt-Bradford at 3:00 pm.
