WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Frostburg State women’s lacrosse team lost a hard-fought, 13-12 contest to Babson Monday evening.
The Bobcats fall to 1-4 on the season.
Senior Stefanie Ritz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) led FSU with her second four-goal performance of the season. She also passed out two assists. Sophomore Lindsay Lamont (Sykesville, Md./Century) had a solid effort with three goals followed by junior Brittany Brumby (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) and sophomore Carly Rihard (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) each with one goal and one assist.
Sophomore Maria Schrum (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and freshman Meredith Martin (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson) each added two assists.
Juniors Tina Trent (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and Ashley Mattison (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and freshman Danielle Merson (Fallston, Md./Fallston) each netted a goal for the Bobcats.
FSU freshman net minder Erin Morrell (Easton, Md./Easton) made 14 saves.
The Bobcats return to action on Wednesday when they face New England at 7:00 pm in the second game of their spring-break trip.
