ORLANDO, Fla. - The Frostburg State baseball team defeated St. Mary's 10-6 in the opening game of its spring break trip in Orlando, Fla., Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats are 6-5 on the season while the Seahawks fall to 7-12.
Senior starter Billye Hollister (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) tossed seven innings allowing no earned runs on five hits while striking out four.
Sophomore Jordan Crystal (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst (Monmouth)) powered the Bobcats at the plate going 4-for-5 with three singles, a double and three RBIs. Junior Chris Jones (Baltimore, Md./Towson) scored four runs and stole three bases for FSU while sophomore Andrew Speights (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) recorded two hits.
Frostburg State returns to action tomorrow when they face Keystone College (Pa.) for a doubleheader at 10:00 am.
