JOHNSTOWN, PA — The Frostburg State volleyball team lost to Division II Pitt-Johnstown 3-0 Wednesday night.
FSU (1-4) lost a hard-fought 30-23 battle in the first game which was then followed by back-to-back 30-24 losses.
Senior Carly McDonald (Owings, Md./Northern) led the way with 11 kills and 12 digs followed by junior Amanda Hernandez (Crofton, Md./Arundel) with 31 assists and two service aces. Senior Kristie Butt (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) had a career-high 17 digs to go along with three service aces.
Frostburg State returns to action on Friday, September 9 when it travels to Gettysburg, Pa. for the Gettysburg College Battlefield Classic. The Bobcats face Elizabethtown at 3:00 pm.
