GREENSBURG, PA — Freshman
Tricia Richardson (Gibson Island, Md./St. Mary's) netted the only goal of the day to give Frostburg State a 1-0 victory over Allegheny Mountian Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg Wednesday afternoon in women’s soccer action.
FSU improved to 5-5-1 overall and 4-0 in the league, while UPG fell to 4-5-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the conference. This game marks the fourth consecutive game that Frostburg State has not given up a goal.
In the 16th minute, junior Lindsay Hoffman (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson (ETSU)) crossed the ball to Richardson for the game-winning goal.
Sophomore Molly Whyte (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) made two saves in the win.
Frostburg State returns to action Saturday, October 8 as it hosts AMCC conference opponent Hilbert beginning at 1:00 pm.
