FROSTBURG, MD — Senior Tawni Buck (Perryville, Md./Perryville) scored the game’s only goal with 25:58 left to lift the Frostburg State field hockey team to a 1-0 victory over visiting York (Pa.) Saturday afternoon on Homecoming.

The Bobcats improved to 10-6, while the Spartans fell to 10-7.

Both teams were evenly matched as the first half went scoreless. Buck gave FSU the win off a feed from classmate Heidi Zook (Elverson, Pa./Twin Valley).

Senior goalie Kristin Cousin (Edgewater, Md./South River) played the entire game and made four saves in the victory.

The Bobcats return to action Thursday as they travel to Catholic for 4:30 pm contest.
