Tawni Buck (Perryville/Port Deposit, Md.) each made their penalty strokes, while junior goalie
Kristin Cousin (South River/Edgewater, Md.) stopped all four strokes against her as the Bobcats prevailed 2-0 in penalty strokes against host Seton Hill College Wednesday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half the Griffins (3-5) got on the board when Heather Patton scored unassisted in the 52nd minute.
FSU (2-7) tied the game three minutes later when junior Heidi Zook (Twin Valley/Elverson, Pa.) scored off a pass from Riley.
Sophomore defender Morgan Whalen (Milford/Milford, Del.) had a big defensive save late in the second half to keep the score tied.
The two teams battled through two scoreless 15-minute overtime sessions before heading into penalty strokes
Cousin was stellar in goal for the Bobcats as she played the entire 100 minutes and made 16 saves.
