Men's Soccer Shuts Out Mount Aloysius

CRESSON, PA — Seven different players scored for the Frostburg State men’s soccer team as they defeated Mount Aloysius 8-0 on Tuesday in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action.

Sophomore Jo-Jo Duah (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook (Potomac State)) opened the scoring for the Bobcats (5-3-1, 2-0) in the eighth minute of action when he scored off a feed from freshman Trevor Havey (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty). Havey then scored the score the second Bobcat goal in the 21st minute.

Sophomore Sean Quealy(Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) netted the third FSU goal with senior Onyibo Ilochi (Silver Spring, Md./Rockville) recording the assist.

Sophomore Jeff Bisker (Fallston, Md./Fallston) scored the fourth and final Bobcat goal of the first half off a pass from freshman Kenny Dotter (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point).

After sitting out last season, Ilochi netted his first goal of the season and his first since Oct. 14, 2002 just over four minutes into the second period.

In the 51st minute, the Mounties knocked the ball into their own goal to bring the score to 6-0.

Freshman Bryan Lee (Silver Spring, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) scored his first career goal as sophomore Steve Zoutman (Chester, N.Y./Goshen) was credited with the assist.

In the 73rd minute, junior Wyatt Sagers(La Plata, Md./La Plata (Coll. of So. Maryland)) scored Frostburg’s eighth and final goal on the assist from Quealy.

“We attacked the ball and played well,” said Bobcat Head Coach Keith Byrnes. “We are playing good soccer right now and it’s great to start conference with two wins.”

The Bobcats return to action tomorrow when they visit Bethany at 4:00 pm.
