Pittsburgh, PA — The Frostburg State’s women’s soccer team was shutout 2-0 by Carnegie Mellon Tuesday night, snapping the Bobcats’ five-game unbeaten streak.
Hallie Dumont started the scoring in the 34th minute off an assist from Megan Hughes and Kasey Stever. This goal gave CMU (4-0-2) a 1-0 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Kristin Bevilacqua-Linn scored an insurance goal from Dumont in the 53rd minute.
Senior goalie Kelly Jones (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) had seven saves for FSU, which is now 3-1-2 on the year .
The Bobcats’ next game is at Pitt-Bradford Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm.
