Frostburg, MD— Junior
Tawni Buck (Port Deposit, Md./Perryville) scored two goals off of penalty corners to lead Frostburg State to a 3-0 victory over visiting Goucher College in field hockey action Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, the Bobcats (3-7) got on the board in the 50th minute when Buck found the net off an assist from junior Heidi Zook (Elverson, Pa./Twin Valley). Buck then gave FSU a 2-0 advantage as she scored again in the 54th minute off a pass from freshman Brittany Russell (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills).
Freshman Jeanine Harrington (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) scored her first career goal in the 60th minute off another assist from Russell to cap the scoring.
Frostburg State held a 15-4 shooting advantage over Goucher (1-8).
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday as they host Bridgewater at 4:00 pm.
