Steve Forsythe was a four-year member of the Frostburg State football program at wide receiver. He became the program’s second All-American after garnering American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) honors as a senior in 1982.

Forsythe is currently 12th all-time in both career receptions (86) and receiving yards (1,339).

He led the team in both categories as a junior and senior, while posting career highs in receptions (59), yards (773) and touchdowns (4) in his final year as a Bobcat. His 773 receiving yards are the eighth best mark in a single season in school history.

During his career, he helped the Bobcats to 20 wins, including six wins in a season during both his freshman and senior seasons.
