Track … Lettered two years (1970-71 and 1971-1972). Selected Most Valuable Track Athlete in 1972. Best event was the 880 with a best time of 1:57.7 twice in 1971 against Salisbury State and the University of Pittsburgh. Stan was the leading F.S.U. competitor in the long jump in 1972 with a mark of 21’ 1½”. Member of former record-holding mile relay (3:33.1) at the Pitt Invitational in 1972 and the spring medley (3:37.0) at West Virginia University in 1972.

Cross-Country … Lettered one year (1971).Team record that year was 14-0.
Exemplified the epitome of what a coach hopes to see in an athlete – positive attitude, good training habits, dedication and determination. He reflected a most positive attitude and influence on his teammates.
