Tennis … Frostburg State College’s all-time leading winner. Played in #1 and #2 positions on team throughout his college career. His overall won-lost record in singles and doubles matches was 57-3. Twice he was a NAIA District 18 finalist. Team MVP in 1974.
Following his graduation he remained active in area tennis, winning virtually every tournament entered. At the time of induction, he had been ranked #1 in the area for several years. Four letters in four seasons.
Football … Outstanding place-kicker in his two seasons. At the time of his induction, he was tied with one other person for the most field goals attempted in a season (15 in 1974). He also ranked second in extra-points attempted in a season (26 in 1974, tied with one other) and in extra points made in a season (22 in 1974). Two letters in two seasons.
